Everyone is welcome to come and support the Campers at their live performanc! The kids work hard all week developing acting skills and rehearsing the show. Come and cheer them on!
Tickets are $5 for adults, children under 18 are free. General admission. Concessions available.
Camps are divided by grades with some overlap to accommodate summer schedules. Each camper will learn acting, singing, and movement techniques as well as respect, public speaking and creative thinking in a fun and nurturing environment.
Camps are Monday through Friday from 9am – noon and end with two performances open to the family and friends on Friday at 5:30pm and Saturday at 11am.

Rising 1 – 3 graders
Doggie Town is a-buzz with excitement! Judges from the famous Wurstchester Dog Show are coming to spot new talent, and everyone is busy rehearsing for the big show. General German Shepherd is drilling on proper etiquette and discipline, the singing Dalmatians are connecting the dots, the Boxers are toning and getting in shape. But why is Rover the mutt so sad? Join the huskies, poodles, pointers and more as they help Rover discover his special talent!

Rising 2 – 4 graders
Four little birds consider what life is like "out there" beyond their nest as several feathered friends plus a troupe of Squirrel Scouts stop by to offer conflicting words (and songs) of advice. Finally, a wise old Owl explains that "life is what you make it to be" and a high-flying Eagle offers a pep talk that inspires the birds to spread their wings and soar!
CAMP 3: GO FISH!

A Tuna Fish that can't carry a tune? A Star Fish that can't get an acting job? A seven-legged Octopus? A Zebra Fish with spots? A Tiger Shark who wants to be friends with everyone? Join in the aquatic fun as little Tiger Shark and his unique collection of friends discover how their differences make them each special.
CAMP DIRECTOR: Claire Sellers, a Moore County native, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Stage Directing & Management from Greensboro College. Claire previously co-directed the 2019 & 2020 Sunrise Radio Plays "It's a Wonderful Life" and "A Christmas Carol". Claire also has theatrical credits in stage management, house managing, and sound design to name a few. This is Claire's first time directing for the Sunrise Summer Camps, and she is thrilled for the opportunity to work with a younger group of actors!
MUSIC DIRECTOR: Elizabeth Shaver was Music Director at the Sunrise Summer Camps in 2020 and cannot wait to see what this summer brings! She is so grateful to have the opportunity to work with younger performers because they bring so much joy and energy to everything they do! Elizabeth, an Atlanta, GA native, graduated from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelors in Music Education. After graduation, she picked up and moved to Southern Pines where she has lived for the past three years with her cats, Jerry and Junebug. She is currently the Choral Director at Union Pines High School, a choral scholar with the Village Chapel in Pinehurst, and a House Manager at the Sunrise Theater.
CAMP ADVISOR: Kimberly Fielder-Jones returns as Camp Advisor. Kim is a graduate of Valdosta State University, an alumnus of Sandhills Community Theater, and currently teaches drama at North Moore High School.
VOLUNTEERS: High school and college students with experience in dance, music, or theater are encouraged to apply for volunteer positions on Claire's team.
Health and safety precautions will be observed at all times by staff, campers, and parents.
