Soprano Rene Fleming returns to the Met in the world-premiere production of Pulitzer Prizewinning composer Kevin Puts’s The Hours. Soprano Kelli OHara and mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato join Fleming as the operas trio of heroines. Yannick Nzet-Sguin conducts.

Packed with memorable melodies and explosive confrontations, Fedora requires a cast of thrilling voices, and the Met promises to deliver. Soprano Sonya Yoncheva stars as the title princess who falls in love with Count Loris, sung by tenor Piotr Beczała.

Cezanne: Portraits of a Life

Tokyo Stories

Based on a major exhibition at the Ashmolean in Oxford, Tokyo Stories spans 400 years of incredibly dynamic art – ranging from the delicate woodblock prints of Hokusai and Hiroshige, to Pop Art posters, contemporary photography, Manga, film, and brand-new artworks that were created on the streets.

The exhibition was a smash-hit five-star success and brought a younger and more diverse audience to the museum. The film uses the exhibition as a launchpad to travel to Tokyo itself, and explore the art and artists of the city more fully.

First Friday | FREE Outdoor Concerts!

FF 11 17 in

First Fridays are the main fundraiser for the Sunrise Theater.  The free concert is 5-8pm on NW Broad Street between W Connecticut and W New Hampshire Avenues. Everyone is welcome to come out and see old friends or make new ones, drink some Southern Pines Brewery beers & hard seltzers, and listen to great music while supporting the local theater.

This year we will SKIP July and ADD November!
